Litronic Inc. said Thursday that it plans to double its sales force and research and development staff by the end of 2000 and to acquire technology, products and business that complement its products.

The Irvine company unveiled its plans for growth in the Internet security market and said it completed its acquisition of network integration consultant Pulsar Data Systems Inc. Financial terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

Litronic said it will use $38 million in proceeds from its recent initial public offering to bolster its operations and penetrate the Internet security market, focusing on large commercial and government accounts that would benefit from getting integrated network security from a single provider.
