Seminar to Offer Funding Tips to Tech Firms

Finding funding and resources for technology-related businesses is the topic of a half-day seminar Saturday at Caltech in Pasadena.

The seminar will include a panel discussion on issues such as finding financing and partners in cutting-edge technologies. Among the scheduled panelists are local entrepreneurs and experts in federal technology funding, business and technical consulting and technology transfer.

A keynote address by John Sibert, vice president of technology transfer and economic development at California State University Institute, is also scheduled.

The seminar, sponsored by the Los Angeles Regional Technology and Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum, will run from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Caltech’s Baxter Lecture Hall. Admission is $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Contact: (213) 743-4164.
