Lucille Ives, a 42-year Ventura County resident, died Friday after suffering a stroke. She was 79.
Ives was born July 8, 1920, in Bethpage, Tenn. She moved to Ventura from Bakersfield.
Ives worked at the Jack Rose Women’s Apparel store in Ventura during the 1950s.
Ives is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gordon Ives of Ventura; a son, Robert Ives of Santa Paula; a brother, Landon Jackson Jr. of Ventura; and a sister, Peggy Carter of Rialto; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura, with a service at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be held at Santa Paula Cemetery.
