Health Care Property Investors Inc.: The Newport Beach health care real estate investment trust posted second-quarter net income of $15.6 million, or 49 cents a share, 5% lower than the $16.5 million, or 53 cents a share, for the like period last year. Funds from operations reached a record $26.1 million, or 80 cents a share, 11% higher than the $23.6 million, or 75 cents a share, recorded for the corresponding 1998 period. Revenue rose 37% to $51.8 million from $37.9 million.
