Jewish Federation Elects Karp
Charles Karp of Newport Beach has been elected president of the Jewish Federation of Orange County, the central organizing body and fund-raising arm of the local Jewish community.
Karp, managing director of CDK Capital Holdings, served as major gifts chairman for the 1999 Jewish Federation Annual Campaign. The campaign raised $2.1 million for Jewish community services in Orange County, Israel and around the world.
A relative newcomer to Orange County, Karp had been active for many years at the Jewish Federation of Long Beach, where he served as campaign chairman for three years.
