Sorry, but Penny Is Still Not Worth It
I wrote before, but they traded Eddie Jones anyway. Now, with the talk of acquiring Penny Hardaway, I’ll try again.
Championships begin with defense (see Chicago, Houston, Detroit). That would mean that we don’t need a player who whines (“my shooting percentage would be higher if it wasn’t for the referees”) and doesn’t know the letter D (“how can I be expected to score when I have to play defense?”).
The problem last year wasn’t Shaq’s free throws, the problem was that the Lakers couldn’t stop anybody when they needed to. Getting Hardaway will turn an already soft defensive team into a Charmin commercial. And by the way, Kobe’s best position is small forward.
