Builder Standard Pacific Sees Quarterly Boost of 70%
Standard Pacific Corp.: The Costa Mesa home builder reported second-quarter net income of $16.8 million, or 56 cents a share, 70% higher than the $9.9 million, or 33 cents a share, posted a year ago. The 1999 figure included an after-tax gain of $618,000 from the sale of a savings and loan subsidiary. Home-building revenue doubled to a record $309.2 million from $153.1 million.
