* Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions in Simi Valley announced the appointment of Gary Ede as vice president for worldwide professional services.

Ede most recently served as director of digital technology for Danka Business Systems. In his new position, Ede will have responsibility for the overall development and delivery of a broad range of connectivity and support services under the HiKIS Professional Services umbrella worldwide.

Those services will include the development and implementation of a full complement of programs including technical support, customer service and sales/service training for HiKIS’s global customer base.

Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions, formerly Dataproducts Corp., is a manufacturer of printing devices.

* KADY-TV announced that it has hired Pablo Ortiz as its general sales manager. Ortiz has 25 years experience in broadcasting, including sales, sales management and national representation in radio, cable television and advertising.

* Trompeter Electronics announced that Patrick Owings has joined the company as western regional sales manager. Before joining Trompeter, Owings was employed as sales and marketing manager for IERC.

The Westlake Village-based Trompeter manufactures cable assemblies and connectors for telecommunications and aerospace markets.
