Cable Access

Share

Thanks for running Larry Pryor’s response to the “open access” brigade (Commentary, July 22). Not only are the cable companies rolling out broad-band service at a pretty reasonable pace, they’re charging a reasonable price for it. The phone companies sure can’t make the same boast. Now is not the time to introduce stifling regulation of this nascent service.

Pryor assumes that open access will stop the development of better, more efficient, more economical Internet service delivery alternatives. That makes no sense.
