3 Americans in Chiapas Deported
Three members of a group from San Diego that is active in the southern state of Chiapas will be deported for violating the terms of their tourist visas, a Mexican official said. The men, members of the Chiapas School Construction Teams, failed to report to authorities to explain their activities in the so-called conflict zone, where the Zapatista rebel movement is based. The organization built a technical junior high school last year in Oventic. The group’s leader, Peter Brown, was expelled from the country last year for directing the construction.
