Dan Roth to Head Systems Management

Dan Roth has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Systems Management Specialists, a Santa Ana outsourcing, systems integration and computer services firm. Previously, Roth held management positions at Arthur Andersen in San Francisco. He also cofounded Eureka Capital Markets Group, specializing in debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and business consulting services, and established Diamond Data Corp., which developed financial reconciliation software for international banking firms.

Rita L. Ohmer has joined PriVest Bank in Costa Mesa as vice president and private banking officer. She was formerly vice president of the Bank of Orange County in Fountain Valley.

Jon C. Bruegl has been named director of business development for Jaws Technologies Inc., a provider of information security, and will head the company’s new Irvine office. Bruegl is the former director of strategic planning and alliances for Pinkertons Inc.

Mark E. Engstrom has been named professional practice director for the Costa Mesa office of Deloitte & Touche. He succeeds John Wolfson, who has been appointed deputy national director for Securities and Exchange Commission services and will relocate to the corporate office in Wilton, Conn. Engstrom was most recently deputy professional practice director for Deloitte & Touche’s Seattle practice.
