YORBA LINDA
The task of defining “political activity” will fall on the City Council’s shoulders Tuesday night when it considers a proposal to change the fee policy for renting the community center meeting rooms to local organizations. The new policy would charge community groups participating in political activities to use the community center. The rates would range from $20 to $100 an hour, depending on the size of the room.
Nonprofit organizations that have a majority of members living in Yorba Linda are allowed to use the small room 12 times a year and the larger twice a year. The groups are charged a $10 setup fee per use.
