Primus Telecommunications Group Inc. said it has bought AT&T; Canada Corp.’s residential phone and Internet business for $39 million in cash and assumed debt to more than triple its customer base in Canada. Primus, a McLean, Va.-based provider of voice and data services, is gaining 450,000 new customers.
