Rancho Cucamonga (30-26) pounded Lancaster’s Jeff Farnsworth for six runs and eight hits in four innings to win, 11-0, Saturday night at Rancho Cucamonga.

Kevin Everwhite hit a two-run home run.

The JetHawks (20-36) had nine hits but stranded 11 baserunners. Jermaine Clark and Shawn McCorkle each had two hits for Lancaster.

Outfielder Gary Matthews Jr., from Granada Hills High and Mission College, made his major league debut Friday night in the San Diego Padres’ 3-2 interleague victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Matthews was hitless in two at-bats, but walked twice and stole a base.

He was promoted from triple-A Las Vegas earlier in the day when Reggie Sanders was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
