Photobit Unveils Tiny, High-Speed Camera

Photobit, the Pasadena start-up that is pioneering camera-on-a-chip technology, will unveil a new image sensor this week that can capture 500 images per second. Photobit Chief Executive Sabrina Kemeny said the new chip, named PB-1024, can be used to trace the path of a speeding bullet, analyze automobile crashes in slow motion or watch a virus reproduce inside a cell.
