2 Men Rob Motel, Assault Clerk, Child
Two men broke into a Ventura motel office early Monday, assaulting and tying up an employee and one of her children, Ventura police said.
The victim and her three children were sleeping in the residence office of the motel in the 2000 block of Harbor Boulevard when two men broke in the door at 4:20 a.m. and demanded the motel’s receipts, police said.
The men beat the 40-year-old woman and tied her up, police said. When her 12-year-old daughter awoke, she too was tied up.
A 12-year-old boy and an infant remained asleep through the incident, police said.
Police did not disclose the victim’s name nor how much money the robbers took.
The woman remains at Ventura County Medical Center with facial injuries, police said.
