STANTON
Council members tonight will receive a status report on the city’s request for state funds to upgrade the 20-year-old Stanton Neighborhood Center on Santa Paula Street. The city has proposed a $300,000 project to remove and replace the existing community center, which suffers from termite infestation and a damaged foundation, among other problems. The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in chambers, 7800 Katella Ave.
