Work on the long-awaited downtown museum plaza will begin Thursday with groundbreaking ceremonies. The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot on Wilshire Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard, next to the Fullerton Museum Center. The 50,000-square-foot plaza, designed by Urban Design Studies of Orange County, will feature landscaping and a stage for special events. It will also be home to the city’s weekly outdoor Fullerton market and the annual First Night Fullerton New Year’s Eve party.
