Orange Unified School District trustees at tonight’s regular Board of Education meeting will review options for settling the 16-month-old teachers contract dispute involving district administration, teachers and trustees. Last week, the Orange Unified Education Assn., which represents teachers, rejected a two-year proposal that would have increased salaries from 8.48% to 13.34%.
According to a district spokeswoman, the teachers’ representatives passed on the proposal saying they were unhappy with its benefits package. The Orange Unified School District meets at 7:30 p.m., 1401 N. Handy St.
