SANTA ANA
The Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce has announced its alliance with the Rancho Santiago Community College District and other agencies to promote what supporters say is an important tool for business growth: CalWORKs. The state-funded Welfare to Work program provides a way to keep people off public assistance through job training and placement via the community colleges. The state budget includes $65 million to assist community colleges with the program. Information: (714) 563-6203.
