Conference to Give Forecasts, Tips for Apartment Industry

Apartment industry specialists will present practical techniques to help investors make buying and selling decisions, and will provide forecasts of local property values June 24 at the first Apartment Building Forecast Conference, hosted by the Center for Real Estate at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business and CB Richard Ellis.

The conference, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Korn Hall on the UCLA campus, is designed for owners and managers of apartment properties of 15 to 200 units, as well as consultants and others connected with the industry.

Speakers will include Steve Cauley, associate director of the Real Estate Center at UCLA; Russell Dixon, senior managing director of multi-housing properties at CB Richard Ellis; Tom Lieser, executive director of the UCLA Anderson Forecast; and Larry J. Kimbell, director of real estate forecasting at UCLA.

Topics will include techniques for forecasting property values down to the ZIP Code level, market forecasts for Los Angeles and the country, econometric models for forecasting, and discussions on a variety of other facets of the apartment industry.
