VENTURA COUNTY PEOPLE
* Lorraine Trotter has been promoted to division director for the Westlake Village office of Robert Half, a staffing service for accounting and finance professionals. Trotter, who joined the company in 1998 as a recruiting manager, owned a financial consulting firm for 10 years.
Robert Half has 240 offices throughout North America, Europe and Australia.
* Carolyn Hedgepeth has joined the Westlake Village office of RHI Management Resources as division director. She is a certified public accountant.
RHI is a consulting firm that provides senior-level accounting and finance professionals on a project-by-project basis.
* Ventura resident Stephen Doll, vice president with Capital Commercial Real Estate, has been appointed by the Ventura City Council to a four-year term on the Ventura Port Commission.
Doll replaces Jean Getchell, whose term ended. The commission is the governing body for the Ventura Port District.
* Steve Smith of Xircom in Thousand Oaks has been selected engineer of the month by the Buenaventura chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
Smith, manager of hardware development at Xircom, has worked for the company since 1995.
