* Re “State’s Graduation Rate Is Among Worst in U.S.,” June 8:
Gov. Gray Davis should immediately fire the entire California Department of Education--lock them out of their offices. They’ve all lied to the public and then refused to release taxpayer-paid-for data that would expose their corruption and abject failure as educators. A textbook cover-up.
Maybe out of the chaos that would result from a mass dismissal we can build a system that works for our children. Rated fourth from the bottom nationally, we can’t do much worse.
