Little Rock Jet Crash Claims 11th Victim

A 14-year-old girl died of burns suffered in the crash of an American Airlines jet at the Little Rock, Ark., airport June 1, bringing the death toll to 11. Rachel Fuller was traveling with her parents and two sisters on the last leg of a flight home from a European concert tour with the Ouachita Baptist University choir. Rachel was treated at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and had received skin grafts. Her parents and sisters were not injured. The plane, carrying 145 people, skidded off the end of a runway during a landing in a violent thunderstorm, ripped open and caught fire. Nine people were killed that night. A 10th victim died June 10. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
