Three years ago, a group of families whose children were born at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s Women’s Hospital were looking for a way to give back to the unit. The result is the Baby Alumni Club, which raises funds for programs and medical equipment. Much of the club’s focus is on education in issues such as parenting in the first year and how to use discipline. The club also provides hands-on programs such as a car seat check-up held in February.
The Savannah Chop House restaurant will host a fund-raiser to benefit the Baby Alumni Club on June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is at 32441 Golden Lantern, Laguna Niguel. Information: (949) 493-7107.
