City Councilwoman Alice Jempsa requested at the council meeting this week that city officials look into creating a policy covering people who offer to paint curb addresses for residents in exchange for a “donation.” Jempsa said there have been several such incidents lately in which people offer to paint the address for a small fee, which they call a donation--though the money does not actually go to an organization. Staff members said they would look into creating such a policy.
