The Jewish Federation of Orange County raised almost $2.2 million in its 1999 fund-raising campaign, setting a new record, organization officials have announced. The Women’s Division alone raised more than $825,000, its largest amount ever.

The Jewish Federations’s annual campaign supports eight local community service agencies, including B’nai B’rith Youth Organization, Bureau of Jewish Education, Hillel Foundation, Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service and the three local day schools--Hebrew Academy, Morasha and Tarbut V’Torah.

Part of the donations goes to the United Jewish Communities, which provides rescue and resettlement services and revitalizes Jewish life in Israel and around the world.
