The deadline to register for summer school has passed, but students in Yorba Linda may still have a shot at an open seat. If space is available, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified will take applicants right up until the sessions start. Summer school for grades nine through 12 runs from Tuesday to July 30 at Valencia and Esperanza high schools. Kindergarten through eighth-grade classes run from June 29 to July 30 at selected sites.
The district also has an enrichment program at Yorba Middle School for students in grades four through six who want to take fun and interesting classes such as dancing. The program is $125 and still has a few openings in selected classes. Information: (714) 996-2550.
