The City Council last week awarded a $245,664 contract to 4-Con Engineering Inc. to rehabilitate the nature trail on the east side of Newland Street, north of Ellis Avenue. The city will soon begin the second phase of the project, which includes erosion control, slope stabilization, landscape improvements and installation of drainage systems and retaining walls.
