Man Hurt in Possible Gang Shooting
A man was shot in the abdomen Sunday night in an incident Oxnard police said might be gang-related.
At about 10:50 p.m., officers received several calls from residents in the area of Bard Road and A Street saying that shots had been fired and that people were fleeing the area in several vehicles.
Soon after, according to police, 28-year-old Arthur Angeles was dropped off by a car at the emergency room of St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he remained in serious condition Monday. He refused to cooperate with gang investigators, police said.
The Oxnard Police Department asks anyone with information about a party in that area or the shooting on Sunday to call 385-7604.
