Home Store Recalls Children’s Table

Home furnishings company Crate & Barrel is recalling about 4,300 children’s tables that have six-inch holes in the center, because children’s heads can become stuck in the holes, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in Washington, D.C. Crate & Barrel said it has received four reports of children becoming trapped in the table openings, and that two children required emergency help to free them. The tables in question were sold at the company’s stores around the country and through a holiday catalog. The tables, 27 inches by 27 inches, have a red canvas bag hanging in the hole. Crate & Barrel will provide a free repair part that will permanently close the hole.
