Upscale Garys to Add 2 Southland Stores

Upscale Newport Beach retailer Garys, continuing its expansion, said Wednesday it is opening two new Garys Studio stores in Southern California.

The company, which operates its anchor store in Fashion Island, will open stores at The Shops at Mission Viejo, formerly the Mission Viejo Mall, and in Calabasas.

The 7,000-square-foot Mission Viejo store will carry designer clothing, resort wear and shoes for men and women. It is scheduled to open Sept. 10. “The explosive expansion” of South County led to the decision, according to a statement from the company. The Calabasas store will open July 16.

Garys now operate 20 stores, including P.O.S.H., Garys Studio, Garys Island and Garys Rack.
