New Airline Serves South Lake Tahoe

Another start-up airline was scheduled to take wing last week, bringing regularly scheduled service to South Lake Tahoe, Calif., on the southern tip of Lake Tahoe, for the first time since 1996, when Reno Air bowed out. Flying as Tahoe Air but majority owned by Pacific Sports Holdings Inc., an entertainment company in Westlake Village, Calif., the airline flies a 737 from LAX three times a day Monday through Friday, two times a day Saturday and Sunday; it flies two times a day from San Jose.
