Purim Parties

Monday, March 1

The Jewish holiday of Purim will be celebrated throughout Ventura County. The Chabad Jewish Community Center will host a Purim festival at 7 p.m. at 1259 Callens Road, Suite A, Ventura; children wearing costumes will receive a prize and refreshments will be served; 658-7441. Actress to Lecture

Monday, March 1

Actress Carol Lawrence will discuss her film, television and stage career at 8 p.m. at Cal Lutheran University’s Preus-Brandt Forum, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Lawrence will also talk about her role as Maria in the Broadway production of “West Side Story.” Free. Information: 493-3151.

Purim Carnival

Millennium of Music

March 12-13
