ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Consumer Portfolio Services Inc.: The Irvine company, which purchases, sells and services automobile sales contracts, said net income for the fourth quarter increased 52% to $7.9 million, or 44 cents a share, from $5.2 million, or 32 cents a share, for the same period in the prior year. Revenue increased 68% to $37.2 million from $22.2 million.

For the year, net income increased 39% to $25.7 million, or $1.50 a share, from $18.5 million, or $1.17 a share, for the prior year. Revenue gained 68% to $126.3 million from $75.3 million.
