The Santa Ana Zoo is celebrating its 47th birthday Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Face painting, crafts, a scavenger hunt and live music will be among the entertainment. Zoo docents will also show off some of the animals that have been born at the zoo. Children who bring a hand-made birthday card for the zoo, at 1801 E. Chestnut Ave., will receive a party favor.
