“Our interest is exploring this whole issue and what to do about it,” Alexander said. “We hope to raise community consciousness, as well as potential remedies.”

Audience members will be able to question panelists and pick up information packets, Alexander said.

Nick Seidita of the Valley Interfaith Council’s Social Concerns Committee helped write the paper that will be discussed. He said young people need a bill of rights to ensure their healthy development and access to opportunities.

“There is nothing more important than our children,” said Seidita. “Somebody has got to speak up, and that’s what we’re doing.”

The forum is from 2 to 5 p.m at Temple Ner Maarav, 17730 Magnolia Blvd. For more information, call Alexander at (818) 718-6460, Ext. 3007.
