Sheriff’s Department Seeks Help Finding 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for violating probation or failing to show up to serve jail time. Arrest warrants have been issued in each case.

Mitch John, 32, was convicted of burglary and failure to report to jail to serve his sentence, deputies said.

John and three others pulled a scam in which some of them posed as contractors, distracting the homeowner while one of them burglarized the home.

John is white, 5 feet 2, 170 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a rabbit tattooed on his left arm.

Josane Manuel Vaughn, 22, was arrested on suspicion of theft and drug possession. He was released from jail on a promise to appear in court, which he failed to do, officers said.

Vaughn is Latino, 5 feet 8, 145 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 700 block of Hemlock Street in Port Hueneme.

Willie James Wilder, also known as George Wilder, 24, was convicted of selling marijuana and placed on probation, which deputies said he violated.

Wilder is black, 5 feet 9, 190 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 700 block of South F Street in Oxnard.

Arturo Manuel Marquez, also known as Moreno Marquez, 34, was convicted of possessing drugs for sale and placed on probation. Deputies said Marquez has violated the terms of his probation.

Marquez is Latino, 5 feet 5, 190 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 200 block of Chester Way in Oxnard.
