Day Runner Loss Estimate Hurts Stock Price

Day Runner Inc.’s stock fell 18.5%, or $2.06 a share, to $9.13 Friday, a day after the Irvine-based maker of paper-based personal organizers in North America and the United Kingdom warned its loss for the third quarter ended March 31 would be 35 cents to 40 cents a share. The company was expected to lose 16 cents, based on the average estimate of three analysts surveyed by First Call Corp.
