In the consolation final:

Mission Viejo 6, Paramount 5--Jason Ferrell hit a two-run double to key a three-run seventh and help the visiting Diablos (4-1) rally from a two-run deficit. Jeff Toth went two for three with one RBI for Mission Viejo.

In other consolation games:

Downey Warren 4, Sunny Hills 2 (9 innings)--Jared Bruce was three for four with a stolen base and one RBI for host Sunny Hills (2-3) in a consolation game. Downey Warren improved to 3-2.

El Modena 15, Newport Harbor 8--Paul Beaudreau had three hits and three RBIs for visiting El Modena (2-3), which scored six runs in the sixth and five in the seventh.

Huntington Beach 8, Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe 2--Sophomore Justin Keadle struck out four and allowed two hits in 5 2/3 innings and Ryan Brumcrot had a homer and two RBIs to lead the visiting Oilers (3-2).

Shawn Donahoe went three for four with two RBIs for Huntington Beach.

Orange 8, Montebello Schurr 6--Joel Vital had two hits and three RBIs and Ryan Johnson went three for three, including two doubles, with two RBIs for visiting Orange (2-3).

Santa Ana Valley 9, Palos Verdes Peninsula 7--Robert Padilla had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for host Santa Ana Valley (3-2), which took control with an eight-run second inning. Larry Chavez pitched four innings, allowing three hits and a run, to earn the victory.

Valencia 8, Buena Park 7--Matt Reese’s sacrifice fly with no outs in the bottom of the seventh won it for host Valencia. Freshman pitcher Robert Hernandez (1-0) picked up his first high school victory.
