Global Capital Names Merger Specialist
Philip S. Nathan has been appointed a principal of Global Capital Markets in Irvine, and will be primarily involved in the company’s mergers and acquisitions practice. Nathan previously operated his own mergers and acquisitions firm, Phillips, Sayre & Nathan, in St. Louis. Before that, he was president of Geneva Corp. in Irvine, and managing director of Geneva Capital Markets.
Frank Naccarelli has joined GTC Telecom in Costa Mesa as vice
president of sales. He is the former director of MCI Communications Corp. and MCI/Worldcom Inc.
Kevin McKinley has joined Arlon Inc. in Santa Ana as sales manager for the Southeast region. He was previously account executive for Diagraph Corp.
Lyle Trager has been named vice president of business development for eSAT Inc. in Fountain Valley. Prior to joining the company, Trager was with Platinum Technology in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., where he spent two years as director of channel sales and business development. Before that, he was senior business manager of the enterprise computing division of Ingram Micro in Santa Ana.
Michael J. Quinn has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Imagyn Medical Technologies Inc. in Newport Beach. He succeeds Bruce Hazuka. Quinn was most recently president and chief operating officer of Fisher Scientific. Before that, he was senior vice president of Bergen Brunswig Corp.
Robert Allende has joined 2TheMart.com Inc. in Irvine as chief technology officer. Allende comes to the company from Cabletron Systems Inc., where he was the regional systems engineering manager.
William B. Probert has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing for WL Homes LLC in Irvine. He was previously vice president of sales and marketing at Hearthside Homes, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Brookfield Davidson Homes and vice president, sales and marketing for Presley of San Diego.
Daniel Felsenthal has been appointed vice president and controller of Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. Felsenthal began his career as a financial analyst with Rockwell International in 1981 and has held a variety of financial positions with Pep Boys, Show Industries and Mac Frugal’s Bargains Closeouts Inc. Most recently, he was vice president, finance for Barry’s Jewelers, responsible for all accounting, banking, insurance and tax functions for the 114-store retailer. In addition, Jeff Nelson was named to the new position of vice president, merchandising. Nelson spent more than a decade as a buyer of occasional furniture and furniture accessories for Macy’s West. He has also held similar positions with Macy’s East and The Broadway in Los Angeles.
Gary L. Dreher has been named president of AMDL Inc., a Tustin diagnostic kit company, and a member of the board of directors. Dreher was previously vice president of marketing and sales. He succeeds That Ngo, who resigned. Ngo will continue to consult with AMDL on scientific issues. In addition, Ira S. Leemon, a member of the group that purchased shares in the company’s private offering, has been named chairman of the board of directors. Leemon is former chairman of the board of Omniglow Corp., and is currently president and chief executive of a drugstore chain in New York.
Jeanne Hoover has been appointed vice president in the new West Coast office in Laguna Hills of Sky Alland, a customer relationship management company. Prior to joining Sky Alland, Hoover held several positions at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Luxury Group.
Jerry Engen has been named vice president and senior development director for the Mills Corp., which developed and manages the Block in Orange and Ontario Mills. He will be based in the Western regional offices in Orange. Engen had been vice president and development director.
Gregory Charles Hill has joined Union Bank of California NA as a vice president in the private bank division. He is a business development officer in the Orange County and Indian Wells offices. Before joining the bank, Hill was a financial consultant with Salomon Smith Barney in Los Angeles. He is also currently the mayor of Redondo Beach.
Susan Thomas has joined RiechesBaird Advertising in Irvine as a public relations account coordinator. She was previously account coordinator for Frankel & Co.
Maurice Buchbinder has joined the board of directors of Radiance Medical Systems Inc. in Irvine. Buchbinder is director of the interventional cardiology department at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and co-director of interventional cardiology at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
