Internet Wasn’t Key to Cheating

* Re “Teens Cheated in O.C. Class, Using E-Mail,” March 9:

Despite your headline, this is not really another technology goes awry story. Hawking it as such is misleading and propagates more misinformation about computers and the Internet.

After all, this was about a dozen students sharing answers for a test to be taken “on following days.” They could have used the phone. Or gone over to each other’s homes. I doubt that we would see a front-page headline: “Teens Cheated in O.C. Class, Using Bicycles.”
