Xircom Awarded Patent in Australia for PC Card

Xircom in Thousand Oaks has been awarded a patent in Australia for its RealPort Integrated PC Card.

This is the first international patent granted to Xircom for its PC Card products. Xircom received its initial U. S. patent for the product in July, and has additional U. S. and foreign patent applications pending.

The Xircom card is a mobile communication device that features built-in connectors, eliminating the need for outside cables and pop-out jacks. It allows access to information on corporate networks, the Internet, intranets and other online resources.
