MISSION VIEJO
The City Council on Monday approved what city officials consider a compromise ordinance to control landscaping at Lake Mission Viejo. For more than a year the city has unsuccessfully tried to force the removal of oleanders that grow on the south shore of the lake out of concern that they could grow tall enough to block views. The ordinance limits landscaping along the shoreline.
