“Beethoven: Musical Treasures From the Age of Revolution and Romance,” a show of artifacts from the Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies in San Jose, along with historic musical instruments from the time of Beethoven, closes Sunday at the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, 2002 N. Main St., Santa Ana. Elvis Presley was the inspiration for the gyrating Conrad Birdie in the Broadway musical “Bye Bye Birdie,” closing Sunday at Saddleback College’s McKinney Theatre, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo.
