Actress Marion Davies is best known these days as being the mistress of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, who built the San Simeon castle for her. With the exception of King Vidor’s “Show People,” Davies’ films are rarely screened today. In fact, half of her silent films are missing or simply disintegrated before they could be restored. The Silent Society of Hollywood Heritage and the UCLA Film and Television Archive are teaming up to present two of Davies’ silent comedies: “The Red Mill” (1927) and “Lights of Old Broadway” (1925), with live musical accompaniment by Michael Mortilla.

* “The Red Mill” and “Lights of Old Broadway,” James Bridges Theater, northeast corner of UCLA, near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Hilgard Avenue, Los Angeles. 7:30 p.m. $5 to $6. (310) 206-3456.

They’re not wooden, OK? But you can actually see a set of George Washington’s false teeth at the exhibition “Treasures From Mount Vernon: George Washington Revealed,” which opened Tuesday at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens. The traveling show, which complements the Huntington’s own exhibition, “The Great Experiment: George Washington and the American Republic,” also includes personal items such as letters to his wife, Martha, his surveying compass and five of his swords.
