New Consumer Resources at Energy Dept.

Share

Energy Secretary Bill Richardson will unveil a new consumer information office and a Web site today designed to help consumers reduce their energy bills and improve their energy efficiency. The consumer information office is a pet project of Richardson, who vowed during confirmation hearings to make the energy bureaucracy more accessible to the public. The new interactive Web site, developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will help consumers lower energy bills through an online energy audit, a quiz and an energy library. The Web site, which will be open for visitors at 9 a.m. PST today, is at https://www.homeenergysaver.lbl.gov.
