Local runners should get in shape for the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s inaugural Flo-Jo Memorial Half Marathon & Leisure World 5K, being held May 31. The Memorial Day race will see professional athletes from across the nation join Olympic gold medalist Al Joyner in honoring the memory of his wife, Florence Griffith Joyner, who died in September.
