Police Seek Man in Kidnapping, Rape of Girl
Police were searching Friday for a man suspected of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl from her Los Angeles neighborhood and raping her in a Pacoima motel.
Police said the man pretended to befriend the girl, who lives west of downtown, and drove her to the Coral Bells Motel at 10691 San Fernando Road. The man was armed with a gun.
After the attack, the girl called police. A resident of the motel also reported seeing the girl and the man in the motel parking lot, said Det. Corey Malinka of the LAPD’s Foothill Division.
The suspect was described as a Latino in his mid-30s, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a goatee. He also has multiple, distinct tattoos on his neck, chest, stomach and arms, police said.
He was seen driving a white two-door compact car with a black rubber strip along the side.
