The City Council last week voted 5 to 1 to authorize the reissue of $9.5 million in revenue bonds for the Five Points senior project, but not before concerns were raised about its management practices. “There are a bunch of horror stories about the management of this place,” said Councilman Dave Sullivan, who cast the dissenting vote. But Councilwoman Shirley Dettloff countered: “We’ve had no complaints probably in the last six months, [but] we need to continue watching this site because there have been problems in the past.” Councilwoman Pam Julie was absent from the meeting.
